Article in the Rotary District Newsletter April 2009:

Rotary North in Sioux Falls, SD has
adopted The Banquet, a feeding
ministry that serves 9 meals a week
to the low income, homeless, elderly
and disabled people living in Sioux
Falls.
The Banquet’s mission is to equip
volunteers to provide food and fellowship to those served through The
Banquet ministry. It is a safe place
where people can gather and receive
nourishment for the body and soul.
In addition to serving at The Banquet,
Rotary North has given $2,000 toward
the purchase of new shelves for
The Banquet’s school supply project.
The storage area is being equipped
with metal shelves which are perfect
for holding heavy notebook paper and
the large, bulky boxes filled with
backpacks. Project: Supply Our
Students provides a brand new backpack
filled with school supplies for
4,800 children each school year.
