The members of Rotary West are preparing for their annual Christmas Treet Project.
Each year, club members solicit donated Christmas trees and holiday decorations for the needy families of the Sioux Falls.
This year, the club hopes to deliver at least 50 trees and decorations across the city.
Club members will work on building stands for the trees on Friday, December 12.
The next day, Saturday, December 13, club members will collect the trees from the donating businesses.
A week later, on Friday, December 19, club members will attach stands to the trees and put together packages of trees and decorations for delivery the next day.
On Saturday, December 20, club members will head out to deliver some holiday cheers to the needy and to newcomers to the area.
It's a fabulous annual project that always brings special moments of holiday joy to the families that receive the trees as well as for the various club member volunteers who take part in the project.
This year Ryan Ling is coordinating the effort. |
